Killer Penguin Marches Thousands of Miles Only to Disappear
New Stuff for you and yours available online
Holiday Hours at the Brewery Pub
Never Summer Ale available now - on draft, too
Oh, no, there was a photographer. Pics from the Rollout
Killer Penguin is a crafty little guy. This year we sold out of Killer Penguin in record time! Right now it's harder to find a bottle of Killer Penguin than David Zuckerman when you need a signature. However, there are reports of sitings around the continent - ask at your retailer if you're in our distribution areas. There's also rumors running around the brewery that a few more cases may be released next week (unclaimed staff beer).
But not to worry! Wednesday, November 22, 2005 was the day we brewed Killer Penguin for 2006. And twice as much.

Head Brewer Steve Trese mills the grain, while Tony Parker mashes in the Killer Penguin. See you nest year! (Yeah, that "typo" was on purpose - webguy's got a sense of humor to match wits with the best 2nd grader out there. Did you hear about the woman that walked into a bar and asks for a "double entendre?" The bartender gave her one.)
Thanks again. And good bird hunting!

This one, unfortunately, is not for sale. It's behind the webguy's desk:

Pub Holiday Hours: Hoping you have a happy Holiday Season - we will! Brewery and Pub staff will be hitting the hills to enjoy some of that great snow later this week, so we'll be closed on Thursday and Friday during the Thanksgiving week. We'll also close on December 26 and January 2. Have fun!
Trivia will be held on Decmeber 1, 8, 15 and 22. Webguy's been begging the Pub manager to come up with questions for one of those nights, so if you're up for serious craziness, come on by. We have nightly prizes for teams as well as the "season" cumulative tally running.

Hat's off to our keg-filler Dave Stanoff. Seems he was looking for something to do during the 60 seconds it takes to fill each of our half-barrels. Dave took it on himself to paint the wall next to the keg machine, and it looks awesome. Cheers, Dave!

Never Summer Ale on draft. We know you like it in bottles (we're shipping those out faster than a drunken prom date), and if you're looking for it on draft, remember the bartender procurement procedure: ask for it. If they don't have it in your favorite bar, they can get it if enough people request it. We know that it's also available on most "winter tours" at the Old Chicago restaurants around the U.S. If there's one in your neighborhood, be sure to stop by and take our beer for a ride. (Not available at Old C's in ID, WI, or IA - but we're working on it.)

Never Summer Ale Rollout Party Pics: If you were there, you might not remember, if you weren't you might wish you were. Our Never Summer Rollout had a packed house full of people playing with scissors and a few trying to squeeze into frozen tee shirts. If you'd like to check out a few photos from the festivities, click here: www.boulderbeer.com/NSARolloutPics.htm
Here's a sample -- Happy Birthday, Jeb!

(Clockwise from Jeb with the thumbs up: Carrie C, Scott N, Tess M, Jessica G, Doug M and some hot looking couple hanging out with us!)

A Thought for the Holidays. Yes, it's time to give thanks and think of family. It's also easy to remember those less fortunate that can't do it so easily. Boulder Beer is glad to be a partner with the RockBottom Foundation and support the "Miracle" events this Christmas across the U.S. The events will address the needs of the hungry, homeless and displaced men, women and children in the communities in which we live and work. The hosting cities for 2005 are Denver, Colorado Springs, Boulder, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Washington, DC, Omaha (Easter), Chicago, San Diego (January 8), Boise, Portland, and Indianapolis.
The event includes a traditional Christmas dinner, complete with turkey, ham, white cheddar mashed potatoes, vegetables and pie. Every child receives a new toy and warm clothing. We will have other essential supplies such as coats, hats and shoes for the children, as well as toiletry kits for all participating adult.
This is truly a community hosted and sponsored event. The event is completely staffed by volunteers from our restaurants, event sponsors and the community. We’re honored to host such a unique and special event this year.
If you are interested in volunteering or donating, please visit the Rockbottom Foundation website at www.RockbottomFoundation.org
Every little bit helps.

And Finally, this month's quote:
From our Director of Fun, Tess McFadden, the morning after working a late night promotion: "Hairclip Headache. You guys don't get it."
Again, thank you, from all of us.
Cheers! - Dan the Webguy
