BOULDER BEER FOR BOOBS!

On Wednesday, September 17th, Boulder Beer Company will host Beer for Boobs, a fundraiser celebration to support the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. One dollar from every beer sold at the brewery after 5pm will go directly to the foundation and the pursuit to find a cure. Additionally, during the party, there will be live music and games to entertain the crowds, prize giveaways for many lucky attendees, and a silent auction, with proceeds also benefitting the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

The donated proceeds from the evening will support team Beer for Boobs in the upcoming Breast Cancer 3-Day, a 60 mile walk-for-the-cure spanning three days. The team is comprised mostly of employees from White Labs Inc., a leading yeast and fermentation specialist in the brewing community. With several members of the team having already dealt with the disease in some form, the Beer for Boobs team is committed to raising as much money as possible to help find a cure.

According to the American Cancer Society, about 182,460 women in the United States will be found to have invasive breast cancer in 2008. Additionally, 40,480 women will die from the disease this year. Right now there are about two and a half million breast cancer survivors in the United States, and with 1 in 8 women in the country diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their lives, truly everyone experiences the effects of the disease. That’s why Boulder Beer, White Labs, and the Beer for Boobs team are joining forces for this night of fundraising and celebration!

Those that can’t make the fundraiser at the brewery are encouraged to donate, in the name of the Beer for Boobs team, online at www.the3day.org. However, beer is not included with online donations!
